My Internet is Slow

Well, that’s not good! We’re sorry to hear your Internet speeds are slowing you down.

Often, a simple reset, or ‘power cycle’, of the CenturyLink modem and Wi-Fi extenders you have will get things back to full speed.

  1. Locate your CenturyLink modem (often located in the basement or garage) as well as any Wi-Fi extenders you have installed
  2. Unplug your modem and any Wi-Fi extenders, wait at least 10 seconds, then re-plug them in
  3. Wait for the modem to finish booting back up then re-check your internet connection

If your Internet speeds are still too slow, we can walk you through a few steps to troubleshoot the issue.

First off, are you using a hardwired Internet connection (plugged directly into the router), or a wireless (WiFi) connection?
