How do I use my security system keypad?
Your security system has several modes of operation: armed away, armed stay, and disarmed.
Armed Away: This mode activates all door sensors, window sensors & motion detectors. Activate this mode on your keypad by holding the “Away” button down for 1 second.
Armed Stay: This mode activates door and window sensors only and will not activate the alarm due to motion within the home. Activate this mode on your keypad by holding the “Stay” button down for 1 second.
Disarmed: This mode de-activates all door sensors, window sensors & motion detectors. Activate this mode by entering your access code on your keypad.
Once you arm your system, you will have 45 seconds before the alarm is activated. If you trip your alarm, you will have 30 seconds to disarm the system using your access code before the siren sounds. You can change this using the instructions below. You can find this as well as other instructions on DSC’s website located here.
