Step 1: Set Up Your Internet
Lumiere, Sterling Ranch’s Technology Provider, has partnered with the CenturyLink ON program to deliver gig internet to your home, and every home at Sterling Ranch. The CenturyLink ON program benefits customers by providing a free modem, streamlined account activation, and dedicated customer service. Getting set up is easy. Just follow the steps outlined in the Internet Activation Guide.
Step 2: Set Up Your STEWARD Smart Home Automation System
STEWARD is your Smart Home Automation System and tightly integrated with all your other in-home devices. It’s an all-in-one home automation, home security, and utilities monitoring system that came standard with your new Sterling Ranch home. Step 3: Set up your Rachio Irrigation Controller
Integrated with your STEWARD Start Home Automation System, Rachio uses local weather data to optimize your outdoor watering patterns to give your yard exactly what it needs. Take the guesswork out of watering so you can water your lawn more efficiently. This environmentally friendly solutions will keep your plants healthy, use less water, and save money. Step 4: Set up your Security System
Your new home also comes equipped with a Security System by DSC, a world leader in electronic security. Your security system is tightly integrated with your STEWARD Smart Home Automation System, so you can monitor and control your home’s security system from any location. Step 5: Set Up Your Copper Labs System for Utility Monitoring
Sterling Ranch uses Copper Labs technology to manage water billing as well as provide you with real-time insights about your home’s energy and water usage. Each home comes with a Copper device in the basement and an online account. Download the Copper Home Energy Monitoring app to easily access visualizations and optimize your home's utility usage.
Step 6: Make your Smart Home Even Smarter.
While the standard STEWARD Smart Home Automation System is pretty great, you will get the most from your system by adding connected devices such as additional lighting, door locks, garage doors, security cameras, and more.
